Numerical Investigation of Cavitation Bubble Jet Dynamics near a Spherical Particle

Synergistic interaction between cavitation bubbles and particles is critical for the operational performance of hydro turbines. The jet dynamics near wall have been extensively investigated; however, are not clear. In present paper, bubble a spherical particle numerically investigated based on compressible two-phase flow solver considering effects heat transfer mass phases. Furthermore, effect distance initial position characteristics analyzed in detail. Based simulations, three typical cases (i.e., during rebound stage, pointing towards particle, two jets facing each other) behavior categorized together with range dimensionless parameters. As increases, impacts occur first period, transition from period to respectively.
